Trinity Sixth Grader Makes Golf History

Another Titans golfer just made history, and this time it's one of our youngest students— an emerging sixth grader. Congratulations, Paige!

"A Trinity sixth grader has won one of the area’s biggest golf trophies, becoming the youngest champion in the history of the Greater South Bend Women’s Metro.

Paige Sweikar fired matching rounds of 76 to claim the 99th edition of the tournament. She said competing against older players pushed her to improve.

'It was a little bit intimidating but at the end I always have fun playing with them and it always shows me what I can improve on,' Sweikar said. 'I have learned quite a bit from them and all my mistakes that I can help make me better.'

Sweikar credited her brothers for helping shape her game at an early age."
