Extracurricular Activities
Trinity offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities that allow students to pursue their interests, develop their talents, and broaden their experience of the world.
Student Clubs
Student clubs are based on student interest and faculty guidance, and there are a wide range of clubs to choose from. Drama, Yearbook, Varsitas (Latin Club), Film, Recycling, Volunteer (community service), Art, and Volleyball are just a few examples of popular club offerings. Each year, students are invited to propose ideas for new clubs, so the options are ever-evolving.
Chamber Choir
Chamber Choir is open by audition to students in grades 9-12. Students in Chamber Choir perform sophisticated choral pieces and aspire to a high level of musicality. The group sings at Trinity’s winter and spring Fine Arts Night, and sometimes has opportunities to travel for out-of-town performances or participate in local choral events. Chamber Choir is a popular extracurricular activity at Trinity.
Mock Trial
Trinity enjoys a strong mock trial tradition with an impressive track record of success. Our teams have consistently swept first and second place at the local level, and have also won the Indiana state championship multiple times. Faculty sponsors and parent volunteers with real-world legal expertise mentor our mock trial teams, making this a fantastic learning opportunity for the students who participate.
Robotics
Trinity’s participation in the world of robotics has been gaining momentum in recent years. In the spring of 2025 our robotics team excelled at the Mishawaka Qualifying Tournament, advancing as one of eighteen teams to the state level competition. They made us proud at state by winning best in design.
Ski Club
Ski Club is a parent-run extracurricular activity that is always a big hit with students in grades 6-12. Family members of students are also able to participate and take advantage of our group skiing rate at a nearby resort in Michigan. The Ski Club travels by bus to the resort once a week through the months of January and February.
Science Research Initiative
Juniors and seniors can apply to work regularly on original research with science professors and graduate students from Notre Dame or Saint Mary’s. Many student participants go on to present their research at regional and state science fairs.
