Initiative for Safety & Security

One of the most inspiring aspects of Trinity Academy's inaugural year has been the energy and service our community has demonstrated toward improving our physical property. We are excited to share that we now have an opportunity to build on this momentum in the area of campus safety and security.

Trinity Academy successfully secured a $55,000 grant from the State of Indiana's Secured School Safety Grant Program this year. This is a grant that requires its recipients to raise a matching sum in order to procure the funds. While the funds from this grant can be used toward a broad range of things related to enhanced safety and security, our committee, in collaboration with school leadership and third party experts, has identified four main areas that represent the highest priority for Trinity Academy:

  1. Improvements to the main entrance and three exterior doors (already in progress)

  2. Improvements to interior doors

  3. Installation of an exterior access system

  4. Installation of an internal communication system

Our first round of safety improvements will mark the beginning of a multi-year endeavor to fund and implement upgrades that will result in a school that meets high standards for safety and reflects Trinity's deeply held commitment to the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.

We are developing a comprehensive, sustainable safety plan that will incorporate new tools and upgrades, including requisite training sessions for faculty and staff.

To fully implement this plan, we must successfully raise the remaining sum of $170,000. Your generosity, combined with the state grant ($55,000), will form a vital partnership to ensure these necessary safety measures are put in place quickly and effectivelyβ€” by the start of next school year!

I strongly encourage your involvement in this effort. Please be on the lookout for upcoming fun opportunities to get involved and support this initiative!

Thank you for your ongoing support of Trinity Academy.
